Advanced Features of the Mahindra Thar Roxx
This SUV is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. It features twin 10.25-inch digital displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, enhancing the thrill of this off-roading SUV. Additionally, it introduces several first-time features including a panoramic sunroof, front-ventilated seats, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and multiple drive modes.
Multi-Engine Options
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is the only off-road SUV available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is offered with a 2-liter petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine option.
Level 2 ADAS
The Thar Roxx prioritizes safety features extensively. It includes Level 2 ADAS, which offers several safety features such as forward collision alert, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, lane departure alert, and lane-keeping assist.
Drivetrain
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is the only ladder-on-frame off-road SUV that can handle both urban environments and rugged mountain trails. Its chassis is very robust. The new 5-door Thar is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. Interestingly, the new 5-door Roxx offers a 4-wheel drive option only with the diesel engine, unlike the 3-door Thar. On the other hand, competitors like the Jimny and Gurkha do not offer a 2-wheel drive trim in any variant.
Electronic Locking Differential
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is the first Indian SUV to feature advanced electronic locking differentials. This feature helps maintain the SUV’s stability by keeping wheel spin at a uniform speed.
