BMW 5 Series Launched
Luxury car enthusiasts have received a new gift from BMW. The German car brand has launched the new 5 Series LWB (Long Wheelbase) sedan in the Indian market. The car is priced starting at ₹72.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with the launch, BMW has also begun accepting bookings for this car.
Special Features of the BMW 5 Series LWB
The new BMW 5 Series sedan will compete with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB in the Indian market. The company claims that the new 5 Series is the largest car in its segment in terms of size.
The BMW 5 Series LWB sedan is offered in the Indian market in a single variant, four color schemes, and with a petrol engine. As for the design, the car has a very bold look. Simply put, it can make anyone a fan of it.
Latest Design
The new BMW 5 Series LWB features a signature kidney grille and sleek LED headlights. The car's striking front grille and matrix LED headlights add to its beauty. The new luxury sedan is available with 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Rear Design: The rear of the car features wraparound LED tail lights and a new bumper with integrated reflectors. Overall, the new 5 Series offers a much sharper look compared to the regular model.
BMW 5 Series LWB Features
The interior of the new car is also quite luxurious. It includes a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. Additional features include 4-zone climate control, leather upholstery with diamond-pattern quilting, and front-seat ventilation.
Advanced features also include matrix LED headlights, an 18-speaker 655W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, ambient lighting on the dashboard with 6 USB-C ports, a panoramic sunroof, an interior camera, a wireless charger, and phone mirroring.
For an enhanced driving experience, the car is equipped with connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, and automatic parking assist along with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). However, it lacks a reclining function for the rear seats and does not have a rear windshield sunshade.
Powertrain
The BMW 5 Series LWB sedan features a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This engine produces 258 bhp and 400 Nm of torque and is connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The car comes with rear-wheel drive. In terms of performance, the new luxury car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
