BYD has expanded its Atto 3 electric SUV lineup in India by introducing new variants. Previously, the Atto 3 was only available in a fully loaded version. Now, the range includes Dynamic, Premium, and Superior variants. This move has made the Atto 3 more affordable, with prices starting at ₹24.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Price of the new Atto 3 variants
BYD Atto 3 has introduced a new affordable variant called "Dynamic," making it the most budget-friendly option. Its starting price is just ₹24.99 lakh. This is ₹9 lakh cheaper than the top model, which is still available at ₹33.99 lakh.
Additionally, there is another mid-range variant called "Premium," priced at ₹29.85 lakh. This means you now have the opportunity to choose from three affordable options!
Features of the new Atto 3 variants
The base Dynamic variant lacks some features such as ADAS, an electric tailgate, multi-color ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker sound system. The mid-spec Premium variant does not have ADAS and adaptive headlights, but most of the other features are retained.
Both new variants still include a panoramic sunroof, 6-way powered driver seat, heated electric ORVMs, 12.8-inch infotainment system, wireless phone charger, auto AC, and a 360-degree camera.
Safety features in the new Atto 3 variants
All models of the car give equal attention to safety. This includes 7 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX seat mounts, and Hill Descent Control.
Powertrain in the new Atto 3 variants
The Dynamic variant of the BYD Atto 3 has a smaller 49.92kWh battery pack compared to the Premium and Superior trims, which have a larger 60.48kWh battery pack.
Despite this difference in battery pack size, all variants have the same electric motor, which produces 204PS and 310Nm of torque. Additionally, the ARAI-claimed range is a very respectable 468km.
Color options in the new Atto 3 variants
BYD Atto 3 has introduced a new Cosmos Black color option across all its variants. With these new features in the lineup, the Atto 3 has become more competitive against its rivals.
BYD’s strategic move aims to make the Atto 3 more accessible to a wider audience while maintaining its premium appeal across all trims through consistent exterior LED lighting and synthetic leather seats.
