Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has launched its fourth product in the Indian market with the eMAX 7. This new electric MPV will be available in two trim levels—Premium and Superior. Let's take a look at its details.
BYD eMAX 7 Price
Introduced as the successor to the BYD e6, the price of the BYD eMAX 7 is set at ₹26.90 lakh for the Premium six-seater version, while the seven-seater version is priced at ₹27.50 lakh.
Both variants offer the option of either a six-seater or seven-seater layout. Despite a drop in prices compared to the older model, the new electric MPV has been introduced with an improved design, features, and mechanical upgrades.
Design
Incorporating the Dragon Face design, the BYD eMAX 7 features sharp lines, updated front end with sleek LED headlights connected by a single chrome strip, and angular air ducts on the bumper. Additionally, it comes with updated alloy wheels and connected LED tail lights.
Specifications
The BYD eMAX 7 is available with two battery pack options. The entry-level BYD eMAX 7 Premium comes with a 55.4 kWh battery pack, generating 161 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The BYD eMAX 7 Superior trim is equipped with a 71.8 kWh battery pack, producing 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque.
Features
The top-spec variant of the BYD eMAX 7 comes equipped with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, air purifier, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, automatic climate control, six airbags, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Battery and Range
The BYD eMAX 7 is offered with a 71.8 kWh battery pack in the Superior variant and a 55.4 kWh battery pack in the Premium variant. The larger battery pack provides a claimed driving range of 530 km, while the smaller one offers a range of up to 420 km on a single charge.
Top Speed
Additionally, the Superior version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds, while the Premium variant can achieve the same speed in 10.1 seconds.
