Over the years, the 3-door version of the Thar has been a popular choice, and Mahindra updated this model with the launch of the new 5-door Thar on August 15. This is an SUV that can perform well both in city conditions and on mountainous roads.
If you're planning to buy the new Thar, there’s good news for you. Mahindra has started test drives for the new Thar Roxx ahead of Vishwakarma Puja. Bookings for the Thar Roxx will begin on October 3. You can book it through Mahindra's website or at authorized dealerships. Let's talk about the price and features of this off-roading SUV. Mahindra Thar Roxx Advanced Features: This SUV is equipped with the latest modern technologies. It comes with a twin 10.25-inch digital display for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, which adds to the excitement of this off-roading vehicle.
Additionally, for the first time, it comes with features like a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and multiple drive modes.
Level 2 ADAS
Mahindra has prioritized safety in the Thar Roxx, equipping it with Level 2 ADAS features. These include forward collision alert, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, lane exit alert, and lane keep assist.
Multiple-Engine Options
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is the only off-road SUV available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is offered with a 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Depending on the variant, it comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It features RWD (rear-wheel drive) technology. Mahindra claims that the petrol engine will deliver a mileage of 12.40 km per liter, and the diesel engine will give 15.20 km per liter.
Price
The new Mahindra Thar is available in 6 variants. The MX1 Petrol MT RWD is priced at ₹12.99 lakh, the MX1 Diesel MT RWD at ₹13.99 lakh, and the MX3 Petrol MT RWD at ₹14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The MX3 Diesel MT RWD is priced at ₹16 lacks, the MX5 Diesel MT RWD at ₹16.99 lakh, the AX5L Diesel AT RWD at ₹18.99 lakh, and the AX7L Diesel MT RWD at ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
