Mahindra recently launched its two new electric SUVs, the BE 6e and XUV 9e. Both SUVs boast striking designs and come loaded with advanced features. We have already covered the Mahindra XUV 9e in a previous article. In this article, we will provide a detailed overview of the Mahindra BE 6e.
Design of Mahindra BE 6e
This electric SUV features a bold, dynamic exterior design that instantly grabs attention. Key design highlights include sleek headlamps, J-shaped DRLs, 20-inch wheels, flush door handles, and C-shaped tail lamps.
This 5-seater electric SUV measures 4,371mm in length and offers a ground clearance of 207mm. For added practicality, it comes with a spacious 455-liter boot capacity for carrying luggage.
Powertrain of Mahindra BE 6
The Mahindra BE 6e is equipped with two battery pack options: a 59kWh unit and a 79kWh unit. The 59kWh variant generates 228hp of power, while the 79kWh variant delivers 281hp. Both variants offer a rated torque of 380Nm.
The Mahindra BE 6e boasts an impressive claimed range of up to 682 kilometers on a single charge. Its powerful battery pack can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds.
Features of Mahindra BE 6
The SUV comes equipped with advanced features such as a 12.3-inch dual floating screen for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, a two-spoke steering wheel, magnetic key fobs, ventilated seats, a wireless charger, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon music system, facial recognition system, dual-zone climate control, integrated multi-color lighting, a large panoramic sunroof, and laminated glass.
Safety Features
For safety, the Mahindra BE 6e includes auto park assist, in-car camera, electronic parking brake, OTA updates, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, and 7 airbags. It is worth noting that features may vary by variant, but all features are available in the top variant.
Price and Launch
To compete with rival brands, the all-new Mahindra BE 6e electric SUV has been launched at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹18.90 lakh. Bookings will open on January 1, 2025, and deliveries are set to commence from February 2025.
