Maruti Grand Vitara Crash Tested by Bharat NCAP

In today's times, most people consider mileage, budget, features, and safety when buying a car. This is why car companies have been taking safety more seriously in recent years. Now, cars sold in the country undergo safety testing through Bharat NCAP.

Recently, several Tata Motors SUVs achieved a 5-star safety rating in the BNCAP crash tests. Recently, photos of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara's crash test have gone viral online. The Maruti Grand Vitara is one of the best-selling SUVs in the Indian market.

As a result, many people are eagerly awaiting the crash test results of the Maruti Grand Vitara. According to reports, the testing of the Maruti Grand Vitara has been completed, but the official results have not yet been released.

Team BHP has shared photos of the Grand Vitara's BNCAP crash test, and a video is also going viral on social media. The Grand Vitara competes in the mid-size compact SUV segment against popular models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Maruti Grand Vitara Crash Test Performance

The viral photos and videos show the Grand Vitara undergoing frontal impact, side pole impact, and side impact tests with a moving car.

Although this is not the official video, reports indicate that the airbags in the Maruti Grand Vitara deployed correctly during the crash test. Additionally, despite the impacts, there was minimal damage to the exterior.

The new Maruti Grand Vitara is expected to perform well in safety ratings. However, we will need to wait for the official results to confirm this. Maruti Suzuki's cars often fail crash tests.

Although thousands of units of these cars are sold every month, many have proven inadequate in terms of safety. In this context, the Maruti Grand Vitara may bring a new hope for the company's customers.

Excellent Safety Features

The Maruti Grand Vitara comes equipped with the latest safety features, including 6 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), a 360-degree camera, and Hill Descent Control to ensure passenger safety.

Maruti Grand Vitara Powertrain

The new car is available with hybrid (electric + petrol) and CNG powertrains. It features a 1.5-liter mild hybrid and a 1.5-liter strong hybrid engine, both capable of producing 103 PS and 137 PS of maximum power, respectively.

The CNG variant comes with a 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol powertrain that generates 93 PS of maximum power and 122 Nm of peak torque. The Grand Vitara is available with a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and e-CVT gearbox options.

In terms of mileage, the petrol variant offers 19.38 - 27.97 km per liter, while the CNG model provides 26.6 km per kilogram. There is also the possibility of a 7-seater option becoming available in the future.
