Maserati has launched the GranTurismo luxury car in India

Italian car manufacturer Maserati has launched the new GranTurismo sports car in India. The starting price is ₹2.72 crore (ex-showroom). The second-generation coupe is available in two variants, Modena and Trofeo. Both variants are equipped with the same 3-liter V6 Nettuno engine, but they have different tuning. Let’s learn more about it.

Engine

Performance and Variants: Both the Modena and Trofeo variants use the 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 engine from the MC20 supercar, but it is tuned to a lower output compared to the MC20's 630bhp. The Modena variant delivers 490bhp, while the Trofeo provides 550bhp, with power distributed to all four wheels.

Speed

The Modena variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the Trofeo achieves it in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 320 km/h.

Design

The design of the GranTurismo remains consistent with its original model. At the front, there is an oval grille adorned with the Trident logo, which also functions as an air channel. The new headlamps feature L-shaped LED DRLs, and Maserati’s signature triple gills are on the sides.

At the rear, there are LED taillamps and enhanced aerodynamic features. The car is now 78 mm longer and 108 mm wider than before, although its wheelbase is shorter. The Modena variant has a more understated design, while the Trofeo features aggressive styling elements, including carbon fiber components. Both models come with 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels; however, the Trofeo's wheels have a sportier design.

Features

The interior of the GranTurismo has undergone significant changes, featuring new displays and modern amenities. The central display is 12.3 inches, with an additional 8.8-inch panel for climate control and other settings. The driver’s display is a 12.2-inch unit.

Price

The Maserati GranTurismo Modena starts at ₹2.72 crore (ex-showroom), while the Trofeo is priced at ₹2.90 crore (ex-showroom). These prices do not include optional additional features. At this price point, it competes with models like the BMW M8 and Aston Martin DB12. It's also worth noting that the Italian company Maserati is planning to launch an all-electric GranTurismo Folgore in 2025.
