Nissan's most affordable SUV is coming in a new avatar.

The Nissan Magnite is one of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market. This compact SUV was launched in 2020. Now, after four years, the company is preparing to bring it with a new update for the first time. According to reports, the new Nissan Magnite will be launched on October 4. However, before that, the company has already started bookings for the Magnite Facelift.

Nissan Magnite Facelift Highlights

The new Magnite will come with several design updates. It may feature LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and a new bumper on the front profile. Additionally, new alloy wheels could be introduced. Updates to the rear bumper and taillamps are also expected. There are also possibilities of interior changes. However, it is said that the engine will remain the same as the current model.

Talking about the interior of the Nissan Magnite Facelift, it is expected to feature an advanced setup with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a sunroof. However, for more details, we will have to wait until October 4.

Powertrain

The Magnite Facelift will come with the same engine options as the current model, which includes a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. The naturally aspirated petrol engine will be offered with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Meanwhile, the turbo petrol engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.

Price

The starting price of the Nissan Magnite in the Indian market is ₹6 lakh, while the top variant costs ₹11.27 lakh (ex-showroom). However, due to the new design and feature updates, the price of the facelift model is expected to be slightly higher. In the Indian market, the new Nissan Magnite Facelift will compete with cars like Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra SUV 3OX, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
