The new Nano is likely to come with a petrol engine, a top speed exceeding 100 km/h, and a 4-seater configuration.
Feature Updates
The 2024 Tata Nano is expected to come with several modern features. These include a new touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, power windows, air conditioning, and a music system, making it more equipped for contemporary needs.
Expected Price
Ratan Tata’s dream, the Nano, was known as the “common man’s car.” The new Tata Nano is also expected to launch at an affordable price, with an estimated ex-showroom price of around ₹3 lakh. However, no official confirmation about the launch has been made yet.
Tata Nano's History
Tata Nano, famously called the "Lakh-Takia Car," was first launched in 2009. However, due to emission regulations and low sales, it was discontinued in 2018. At the time, the ex-showroom price of the Tata Nano was ₹2.50 lakh.
The older Tata Nano came with 624cc petrol and CNG engine options. These engines delivered 37.48 PS of power and 51 Nm of peak torque. It offered both manual and automatic gearbox options and had a mileage range of 21.9 to 23.9 km/l.
