The Renault Duster is a popular car in the global auto market. Currently, the sale of the Renault Duster SUV is discontinued in the Indian market, but the new generation Duster will soon be seen on Indian roads. According to reports, the New Gen Renault Duster will be launched in the Indian market in 2025. However, before this, the new Duster has undergone a crash test.
In fact, Euro NCAP has conducted a crash test of the new Duster SUV. The car received a 3-star safety rating in the crash test. However, the Euro NCAP safety rating for the Euro-spec Duster will not apply to the India-spec model.
Euro NCAP Crash Test Results
For Euro NCAP testing, the left-hand drive version of the Duster was selected. During this test, the SUV scored 28.1 points for adult safety and 41.6 points for child safety. Overall, the SUV was awarded a 3-star safety rating.
Safety Features
The new Renault Duster coming to India will also be equipped with numerous safety features. It will include front and side airbags, a center console with an armrest, a speed limiter, ABS, seatbelt warning, rear brake light, impact protection, EBA, and parking sensors.
Additionally, advanced safety features like hill start assist and blind spot warning will also be provided. The upcoming 3-line Duster will be 4.6 meters long. Besides this, the rear overhang and wheelbase dimensions might also see several changes compared to the regular model.
Features
The upcoming 7-seater SUV, the New Gen Duster, will be equipped with numerous features. These include a freestanding touchscreen display, a full digital instrument console, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a premium sound system, connected car technology, an electronic parking brake, wireless charging, and automatic climate control.
2025 Renault Duster Engine
According to reports, it will only be offered with a petrol-powered engine. Its 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine will generate 130 bhp of power and 230 Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Additionally, the top-spec version of the new Duster might be introduced with 4X4 technology. This SUV will compete in the Indian market with the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Citroen C3 Aircross 7-seater variants.
