The renowned car manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motors has introduced a special edition of its Toyota Fortuner. The company has expanded the Fortuner lineup by launching the Leader Edition. For this, the company has opened bookings.
However, the company has not yet revealed the price of the new edition. The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is based on the diesel 4x2 variant, and there are some external changes in terms of features.
Toyota Fortuner was launched in India in 2009, and the company has stated that they have sold over 2.5 lakh units so far. Currently, the Fortuner Leader Edition is available in diesel-MT and diesel-AT versions.
It is believed that the prices of the Leader Edition will be slightly higher than the standard Fortuner 4x2 variant, which ranges from 35.93 to 38.21 lakh rupees. There are several updates in terms of features in this car.
The special features of the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: The new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is equipped with modern amenities such as dual-tone seat covers, tire pressure monitor, auto-folding ORVM, and wireless charger.
Talking about the exterior, the Fortuner Leader Edition comes with new black alloy wheels. It also offers three dual-tone color options. The company has presented the new Leader Edition in a black and white dual-tone exterior paint scheme.
In addition, the Fortuner Leader Edition features dual-tone interiors, offering options like Super White with black roof, Platinum Pearl White, and Silver Metallic. The seats are also provided in dual-tone colors.
Furthermore, the new front and rear bumper spoilers enhance the look of the Leader Edition even more attractively. Toyota states that these are part of the official accessories list.
Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Powertrain: Speaking of the powertrain, it comes with a 2.8-liter diesel engine. This engine produces 204 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
It should be noted that when paired with a manual gearbox, this car produces 420 Nm of torque. It is worth mentioning that there is a strong demand for Toyota Fortuner models in the Indian market, posing tough competition for the MG Gloster.
In addition, the old rival of Toyota Fortuner, the Ford Endeavour, is also set to make a comeback in the Indian market. Seeing this, Toyota is continuously updating its models.
