Renowned automaker Citroen has recently launched its new Basalt Coupe SUV. Engine
The Citroen Basalt offers the option of NA (naturally aspirated) and turbo petrol engines. The first is a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 82 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. It is available only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The second is a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, offered with two gearbox options. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This engine generates 110 bhp of power, with 190 Nm of torque for the manual gearbox and 205 Nm for the automatic variant.
Interior
The cabin of this car is quite elegant. The rear passengers in the second row get a segment-first comfort headrest. It also features a first-in-segment 'smart tilt cushion' which is adjustable up to 87 mm.
In terms of features, it has a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The Basalt also gets a new automatic climate control system. Additionally, it is equipped with a 10.24-inch standing touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The SUV also includes three USB ports, a wireless charger, and 40 features like MyCitroën Connect, remote start/stop, pre-cooling, and incoming alert. It is available in five mono-tone colors, with dual-tone options in Polar White and Garnet Red with a black roof.
