There has been a slight decline in the sales of electric cars. To boost sales, popular car manufacturers in the country are offering discounts of up to ₹15 lakh on luxury EVs. The list includes brands like BMW and Kia. Let’s take a look at the discounts available on electric cars.
Kia EV6
The highest discount of ₹15 lakh is being offered on the Kia EV6. The on-road price of this EV6 crossover in Delhi is around ₹74 lakh. With the discount, it can be purchased from dealerships for approximately ₹55 lakh to ₹60 lakh.
BMW iX1
Launched at the end of 2023, the BMW iX1 is currently being sold in India with a discount of up to ₹7 lakh. This electric SUV is equipped with a 66.4 kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors. These motors produce 309 bhp and 494 Nm of peak torque.
On a single charge, it offers a WLTP range of up to 440 kilometers. The BMW EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h.
MG ZS EV
The MG ZS EV is being sold in September 2024 with a cash discount of up to ₹1.5 lakh and an exchange bonus of up to ₹1.5 lakh, bringing the total discount to ₹3 lakh. Just a few days ago, MG launched the Windsor EV in India at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, without battery rental).
Tata Nexon EV and Punch EV
Under its 'Festival of Cars' program, Tata Motors has announced attractive discounts and benefits on its zero-emission passenger vehicles. The price of the Nexon EV has been reduced by up to ₹3 lakh, while the Punch EV is available with a discount of up to ₹1.20 lakh. Additionally, buyers will enjoy six months of free charging at over 5,500 Tata Power charging stations across India. With discounts of up to ₹3 lakh, the Tata Punch EV now starts at ₹9.99 lakh, while the Nexon EV starts at ₹12.49 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
