2024 Honda Amaze CNG
Honda has recently launched the third-generation Amaze in the Indian market. The new Honda Amaze has been introduced at a starting price of just ₹8 lakh. Additionally, it is the first sedan in its segment to come with ADAS features. However, the company has offered it only with a petrol engine.
Yes, the new Honda Amaze does not come with a factory-fitted CNG kit. However, you can have a CNG kit installed in the new Honda Amaze through dealerships without voiding the warranty. According to a Honda dealership in Noida, a CNG kit can be installed in the new Amaze petrol model as per RTO regulations.
Warranty Remains Intact
The dealership obtains approval from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) before installing the CNG kit in the new Amaze. This ensures that the car's warranty remains valid.
Cost Involved
Installing this CNG kit at the dealership level will cost approximately ₹1 lakh. Notably, the new Honda Amaze directly competes with the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
Honda Amaze Powertrain
The new Amaze is offered with a 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 90hp of power. However, in CNG mode, its power output will slightly decrease. Additionally, only a manual gearbox option will be available with the CNG engine.
In terms of mileage, Honda claims that the new Amaze delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.46 km/l with the CVT and 18.65 km/l with the manual transmission. According to reports, the new Amaze is capable of delivering a mileage of approximately 30 to 32 kilometers per kilogram with CNG fuel.
Price and Features of the New Honda Amaze
The price of this sedan ranges from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes equipped with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital driver display, a wireless phone charger, a 3-spoke steering wheel, paddle shifters, and a 6-speaker premium surround sound system.
In terms of safety, it offers 6 airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), and 3-point seatbelts. According to the company, the Amaze includes over 28 safety features under the ADAS suite.
