The year 2024 is coming to an end, and the lineup of vehicles set to launch in 2025 is already being unveiled. In this context, we bring you a list of new 7-seater SUVs ready to enter the Indian market next year. This includes models ranging from the Grand Vitara 7-Seater to the Toyota Fortuner Mild-Hybrid.
7-Seater Maruti Grand Vitara
Maruti's Grand Vitara, available with a hybrid engine, has built a significant customer base. Leveraging the popularity of this nameplate, the company plans to introduce a 7-seater model based on the existing 5-seater version. This upcoming SUV has also been spotted testing on Indian roads.
It is worth mentioning that the new model will feature exterior and interior updates, making it more spacious than before. However, mechanically, it will remain similar to the current Grand Vitara. The existing Grand Vitara comes with mild and strong hybrid powertrain options. The 7-seater version is expected to make its debut in the second half of 2025.
7-Seater Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder
Following the concept of the new 7-seater Grand Vitara, Toyota is also likely to introduce a derivative of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Both vehicles are expected to share similar features and mechanical specifications. However, to differentiate the brand, the Urban Cruiser may feature slight exterior design changes. It is expected to hit the market shortly after the launch of the 7-seater Grand Vitara.
Mahindra XEV 7E
The third spot on the list is occupied by the XEV 7E. Based on the IC-engine Mahindra XUV 700, this electric car will be developed on the company's dedicated INGLO skateboard platform. It is expected to share several components with the recently launched XEV 9E. However, details such as its range and motor specifications are yet to be revealed.
Toyota Fortuner Mild-Hybrid
Lastly, the popular SUV considered a GOAT (Greatest of All Time) is Toyota’s Fortuner. Toyota is set to introduce the Fortuner in the Indian market with a hybrid engine. Already available in international markets, the Fortuner Hybrid comes with a 2.8-liter diesel engine paired with a 48-volt battery pack. This will not only reduce emissions but also enhance fuel efficiency.
