Take advantage until 2027

The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the Electric Vehicle Policy until 2027. It is worth mentioning that the government started this scheme in October 2022. Under this plan, the government's target is to provide subsidies for 200,000 vehicles.

Additionally, the government is offering a subsidy of ₹12,000 on electric three-wheelers and up to ₹20 lakhs on private electric buses. Earlier, the UP government also announced exemptions in road tax and registration fees for hybrid cars.

A budget of ₹350 crore for subsidies

According to the report, a total budget of ₹350 crore has been allocated for subsidies on electric vehicles in Uttar Pradesh under the new EV policy.

Out of this, ₹100 crore will be spent on subsidies for electric two-wheelers, and ₹250 crore will be spent on subsidies for electric four-wheelers. The government claims that by 2030, all state government vehicles in Uttar Pradesh will run entirely on electric mode.
