Cars with 5 Star Safety Rating

During the year 2023, Global NCAP has conducted crash tests for several cars sold in India. Some of these cars have received a 5-star safety rating, while others have received lower ratings. Let's discuss the Made-In-India cars that have obtained a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP in 2023.

 

Volkswagen Virtus & Skoda Slavia

Global NCAP conducted crash tests for the Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia in 2023. Both sedans are built on the same platform (MQB A0IN) and share powertrain options. Both the Virtus and Slavia have achieved a 5-star rating in adult and child safety. The sedans demonstrated stability in their body shells and were found capable of handling impact forces effectively in both the adult and child safety assessments

Both sedans come equipped with safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera. These safety features are included in both cars, which are manufactured in India.

 

Tata Harrier and Safari

In 2023, both the Tata Harrier and Safari received a midlife update, introducing new features. Global NCAP conducted crash tests for both models, awarding them a 5-star safety rating. Both adult and child safety ratings were given 5 stars. In terms of scores, the adult safety rating was 33.05/34, and the child safety rating was 45/49.

Tata has equipped both the Harrier and Safari with 7 airbags (6 as standard), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist, a 360-degree camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features.
