Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the NX500 Adventure Tourer for bike enthusiasts in the market. Priced at 5.90 lakh rupees (ex-showroom, New Delhi), it will be imported through the CBU route. The all-new NX500 features new styling and several upgrades, designed to provide a comfortable experience from urban roads to off-road trails or long distances. Honda NX500 Features
As for features, the NX500 comes with a new LED headlight, a new 5-inch digital TFT instrument console (with Bluetooth connectivity), in-built navigation, and a backlit four-way toggle switch. The 5-inch TFT instrumentation offers Honda RoadSync's iOS/Android smartphone connectivity. Its screen is customizable, allowing riders to choose their preferred display style. The bike also features an emergency stop signal and a switchable traction control system. Honda is introducing a traction control system known as Honda Selectable Torque Control.
Honda NX500 Engine And Performance
The Honda NX500 is powered by a similar 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that was used in the outgoing CB500X. However, this unit has been updated with a new ECU, claimed by Honda to make it smoother. The engine delivers an output of 47 bhp at 8,600 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
Suspension, Brakes, and Tires
In this adventure touring motorcycle, you get a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear trail-pattern radial tire, with sizes 110/80-R19 and 160/60-R17, respectively. The wheels are entirely new cast aluminum Y-shape design with 5 spokes.
Color Options and Delivery Details
The Honda NX500 will be available in three color options - Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Horizon White. It will be sold exclusively through Honda's Bigwing dealership network. Deliveries are set to commence from February 2024.
