Hyundai is a popular car brand in the Indian market, especially known for its Creta SUV, one of the company’s top-selling models. Due to high customer demand, Hyundai is set to launch the Creta in an electric version soon. Currently, it is undergoing testing.
While the exterior of the Creta EV has been spotted several times during testing, its interior was recently revealed. Let's look at what the interior of the Hyundai Creta EV (electric car) will look like.
Creta EV Interior
The production-spec Creta EV’s interior resembles the regular petrol/diesel model. It features an updated steering wheel, infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, switchgear unit, and a drive mode selector on the steering column. The Hyundai Creta EV's exterior design is expected to change. You may notice a new attractive grille, modified bumper, charging port, and updated alloy wheels.
Battery and Range
The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to come with either a 50 or 60-kWh battery pack. Once fully charged, it will be capable of offering a range of up to 500 kilometers.
According to reports, the new Hyundai Creta EV is likely to be launched at the beginning of next year (2025). Its price is expected to be around ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it will compete with electric cars like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
As for the current petrol and diesel-powered Hyundai Creta, its ex-showroom price ranges between ₹11 lakh to ₹20.30 lakh. It is available in multiple variants including E, X, S, and S (O). The car offers engine options like a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Depending on the variant, gearbox options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, CVT, and 7-speed DCT. It offers a fuel efficiency of 17.4 to 21.8 km per liter.
The Hyundai Creta can comfortably accommodate 5 passengers. It comes with a 10.25-inch dual display, dual-zone AC, 8-speaker Bose sound system, sunroof, and many other features. In terms of safety, the Creta is equipped with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchors, and electronic stability control. It also has a luxury interior with a 2-step recline function.
