MG Motor has launched two new variants of its popular SUV Gloster. These include Gloster Snowstorm and Desertstorm Edition. Let us tell you that MG Gloster gives tough competition to Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market. MG Gloster is known for its great looks and feature pack. The company has once again updated and introduced new variants.
Price of MG Gloster Snowstorm and Desertstorm: Let us tell you that the price of standard variant of MG Gloster starts from Rs 38.80 lakh. Whereas, the price of Gloster Desertstorm and Snowstorm variants is Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom).
Gloster Desertstorm: This flagship SUV gets the same design as the Blackstorm that came last year. MG Gloster Desertstorm has been launched in golden color option. Black highlights are seen in it, apart from this, new grille and black alloy wheels with red brake callipers have been provided.
As far as the exterior design is concerned, it has been given updated headlights and tail lights with dark-themed ORVMs. The combo of golden and black gives a very bold look to the car. Black steering wheel and dark theme upholstery is seen in the cabin.
MG Gloster Snowstorm: Blackstorm pattern is seen in this SUV. It has fully black seats with white stretch. As far as the exterior is concerned, it has been designed in dualtone shade white and black.
Red inserts have been given on its front and rear bumpers. Its front grille, alloy wheels and rear spoiler are designed in black shade. Apart from this, the option of dealer-fitted accessories is also available in the SUV.
The special edition model of MG Gloster has many special features like seat massager, themed carpet mat, dashboard mat, JBL speakers and Desert Storm and Snowstorm badges.
Powertrain: These have the option of 2.0-litre turbo diesel and 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engines. The turbo diesel version of the SUV is capable of producing 161 bhp of power and 375 Nm of maximum torque.
Gloster's twin-turbo engine is capable of producing 215 bhp power and 480 Nm torque. Both engines are equipped with 8-speed automatic gearbox. After debuting in India with the Hector, the MG Gloster flagship model was launched in India in October 2020.
In the full-size SUV segment, the MG Gloster gives tough competition to the Toyota Fortuner as well as the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. Meanwhile, there is news that MG Motor is also going to launch Gloster Facelift soon.
