MG Comet EV: MG Motor is one of the popular car companies in the Indian market. MG started in England in 1924. In this regard, on the occasion of completing 100 years, MG Motor has introduced a special Comet EV in India.
On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the company has launched special limited editions of MG Hector, MG Astor, and MG ZS EV in addition to Comet EV. Recently, the special edition of Comet EV has been spotted at dealerships.
MG Motor has made several significant changes in its special model compared to the regular variant. The 100-Year Limited Edition of Comet EV has been crafted with stunning design and special color options.
As for the price of the MG Comet EV's special edition, its ex-showroom price is 9.4 lakh rupees. The new model features exterior colors, a blacked-out roof, a new chrome finish, and a new Comet EV badge on the tailgate.
Updated features: These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 55 connected car features, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather-wrapped steering wheel, reverse parking camera, electronic parking brake, and more.
For passenger safety, it features hill hold control and a digital key. Like other cars from MG Motor, it doesn't lack any advanced features.
MG Comet EV Powertrain: As for performance, this electric car comes with a 17.3 kWh battery pack. Its range on a single charge is 230 kilometers. The motor fitted in it generates 42 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque.
When it comes to charging, with the help of a 3.3 kW charger, you can charge this car up to 80% in 5 hours, while it takes around 7 hours for a 0 to 100% charge.
Using a 7.4 kW AC fast charger, this EV can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 2.5 hours. As for dimensions, the Comet EV has a length of 2974mm, a width of 1505mm, and a height of 1640mm, with a wheelbase of 2010mm.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the MG Comet EV electric car, the special limited edition will pose stiff competition to cars like the Tata Tiago EV, Tata Punch EV, and Citroen eC3. This car is specially designed for urban areas.
