The renowned car manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motors has introduced a special edition of its Toyota Fortuner. The company has expanded the Fortuner lineup by launching the Leader Edition. For this, the company has opened bookings.

However, the company has not yet revealed the price of the new edition. The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is based on the diesel 4x2 variant, and there are some external changes in terms of features.

The Toyota Fortuner was launched in India in 2009, and the company has stated that so far, 2.5 lakh units have been sold. Currently, the Fortuner Leader Edition is available in diesel-MT and diesel-AT versions.

It is being speculated that the price of the Leader Edition may be slightly higher than the Standard Fortuner 4x2 variant, ranging from 35.93 to 38.21 lakh rupees. Several updates can be observed in terms of features in this car.

Special features of the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: The new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition includes modern amenities such as dual-tone seat covers, tire pressure monitor, auto-folding ORVMs, and wireless charger.

Talking about the exterior, the Fortuner Leader Edition comes with new black alloy wheels. It also offers three dual-tone color options. The company has introduced the new Leader Edition in black and white dual-tone exterior paint scheme.

In addition, the Fortuner Leader Edition features dual-tone interiors, offering options like Super White with black roof, Platinum Pearl White, and Silver Metallic. The seats are also provided in dual-tone colors.

Furthermore, the new front and rear bumper spoilers make the Leader Edition look even more attractive. Toyota states that these are part of the official accessories list.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Powertrain: As for the powertrain, it comes with a 2.8-liter diesel engine. This engine generates 204 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

Sure, when paired with a manual gearbox, this car produces 420 Nm of torque. It's worth noting that there's significant demand for Toyota Fortuner models in the Indian market, posing stiff competition to the MG Gloster.

In addition, Toyota Fortuner's old rival, the Ford Endeavour, is also making a comeback in the Indian market. In response to this, Toyota is continuously updating its models.
