Nissan India has recently introduced its Magnite SUV in a new avatar. In the Indian market, this SUV will compete with cars like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx. However, the Swift has also been updated recently. Let's take a look at both the Swift and Magnite.

It is important to note that these starting prices for the Magnite are introductory and will only apply to the first 10,000 customers. After that, the prices will be revised. Interestingly, despite being in a higher segment, the Magnite is ₹50,000 cheaper.

The Swift is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated Z12E 3-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 82 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The Swift also has a CNG powertrain option. Maruti Suzuki has adapted the 3-cylinder engine for CNG compatibility, delivering 68.79 BHP at 5700 RPM and 101.8 Nm of peak torque at 2900 RPM, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Magnite also comes with two engine options. This powertrain produces 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the Magnite include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT for the turbo-petrol variant.
