Premium EV with 449 km Range & ADAS Launched at ₹9.99 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India is steadily strengthening its presence in the domestic market. However, the company faced some challenges last month. On one hand, the MG Windsor emerged as the company’s best-selling car, while models like Hector and Astor witnessed a decline in sales. Let’s take a look at MG’s model-wise sales report.

MG Windsor EV

This electric car, which generated considerable buzz upon its launch, has successfully established a solid customer base. Last month, the MG Windsor became the company’s best-selling model, attracting 3,939 new customers. It is worth noting that this electric car has not even completed a year since its launch.

In the Indian market, the MG Windsor is available under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) program at a starting ex-showroom price of just ₹9.99 lakh. Capable of delivering a range of up to 449 km on a single charge, this EV is also equipped with features such as V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, an ADAS safety suite, a panoramic glass roof, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags.

MG Hector

At the second spot on the list is the MG Hector. This popular SUV found 1,098 new buyers last month. However, this figure reflects a sharp 42% year-on-year decline in sales compared to the 1,906 units sold in May 2024.

MG Comet

Ranked third in terms of sales, the demand for the Comet has also declined. Last month, the model attracted a total of 823 new customers. This figure reflects a 31% year-on-year drop compared to the 1,200 units sold in May 2024.

MG ZS EV

At the fourth spot on the list is the MG ZS EV. This electric car recorded sales of 360 units last month, showing a 33% decline compared to the 537 units sold in May 2024.

MG Astor

MG Astor secured the fifth position. Only 84 units of this SUV were sold last month, marking a massive 92% decline compared to the 991 units sold in May 2024.

Meanwhile, MG Gloster did not record any sales last month.
