The Indian car market is currently buzzing with compact SUVs, and now Skoda is also ready to join this race. The company will soon launch its new sub-4 meter compact SUV, the name of which has not yet been revealed.
This new SUV will hit the market next year and is expected to compete with cars like the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
Skoda is not stopping there. The company is already working on facelifts for the Kushaq and Slavia, which could be launched by mid-2025.
These updates are expected to include Level 2 ADAS, which will help alleviate competition with companies like Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and other sedans in the segment.
New features for car safety could include a 360° camera showing the surroundings, an electronic parking brake, and sensors warning the driver when moving forward.
There is a possibility of having a large panoramic sunroof in the car. It may come with options of 1.0L, 1.5L, and 1.0L TSI petrol engines. Speaking of design, this SUV will likely follow Skoda's existing design language, featuring bold headlamps, grille, and smart LED tail lights.
It will be interesting to see at what price Skoda launches its new SUV. It is hoped that this SUV will come at a competitive price and establish its position in the compact SUV segment. Skoda has not yet revealed the launch date for this SUV.
It was recently announced by Skoda Auto India that an important safety update was made for its Kushaq and Slavia models. Following this, the company has now included six airbags as standard in all variants of both these cars.
This change is part of the MY24 update for the company's India 2.0 product portfolio. This means that now when purchasing any variant of these two models, you won't have to pay extra for additional airbags.
With this change, Skoda aims to fulfill the expectations of its customers by providing them with even better experiences in terms of safety, features, and affordability. It is believed that Skoda's SUV, set to be launched in 2025, will be among the best cars in its segment.
