All major automobile companies in the country have released their sales figures for June. Among the top 10 cars sold in the domestic market, there are 5 SUVs, 3 hatchbacks, 1 sedan, and 1 MPV. Last month, Maruti Suzuki's cars continued to dominate the sales figures. This list also includes companies like Tata Motors, Hyundai Motor India, and Mahindra.
Tata Punch
In June 2024, Tata's popular compact SUV Punch was the best-selling model. Last month, Tata Punch sold 18,238 units. In the Indian market, the price of the Punch ranges from ₹6.13 lakh to ₹10.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
It offers a mileage of 18.8 to 26.99 km per liter. The second car on the list is the Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback. In June 2024, 16,422 units of this hatchback were sold. The ex-showroom price of the new Swift ranges from ₹6.49 lakh to ₹9.60 lakh.
It comes with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine option. The Maruti Swift offers a mileage of 24.8 to 25.72 km per liter. It features excellent safety features along with a 9-inch infotainment screen.
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta SUV ranks third with 16,293 units sold. The new Creta is priced between ₹11 lakh and ₹20.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Available with both petrol and diesel engine options, this SUV offers a mileage of up to 21.8 km per liter.
It comes with a 10.25-inch dual display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, a sunroof, and many other features. Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV is in fourth place with 15,902 units sold.
In the Indian market, the ex-showroom price of the Ertiga ranges from ₹8.69 lakh to ₹13.03 lakh. Available with petrol and CNG powertrains, it offers a mileage of 20.3 to 26.11 km per liter. The Ertiga comfortably seats up to 7 people.
Additionally, the premium hatchback Maruti Suzuki Baleno is in fifth place with 14,895 units sold. The ex-showroom price of this car ranges from ₹8.45 lakh to ₹12.25 lakh.
It offers both petrol and CNG engine options. The Baleno provides a mileage of 22.35 to 30.61 km per liter. It also features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with many other features.
Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR hatchback is in sixth place with 13,790 units sold. In the Indian market, its ex-showroom price ranges from ₹5.54 lakh to ₹7.33 lakh. It is highly popular in both urban and rural areas.
Following this, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire (13,421 units), Maruti Suzuki Brezza (13,172 units), Mahindra Scorpio (12,307 units), and Tata Nexon (12,066 units) are included in the top 10 list.
