Tata Harrier EV
Tata Motors is known as a reliable automobile manufacturer in India. The company launched the new facelifted Harrier in a grand style at the end of last year. However, this car is currently only available with a diesel powertrain. According to Tata Motors, the Harrier EV will be introduced next year.
According to the report, Tata will launch the new Harrier EV in the market by March 31, 2025. The Harrier EV was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo as well as the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. This EV is eagerly awaited in the Indian market.
Tata Motors aims to expand its EV lineup with the new SUV. In addition to the Harrier EV, Tata Motors is also preparing to launch the new Curvv EV. The Harrier EV is based on the re-engineered Omega platform.
The brand has used Acti.EV architecture in this car. Tata has clarified that the new EV will come with Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) connectivity capabilities. However, precise information regarding the battery and electric motor has not yet been revealed.
Expected Price
It is estimated that the Tata Harrier EV, coming to the Indian market, could be priced at ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom). This car, which will come with a large battery pack option, will feature dual motors.
This SUV will be capable of delivering a range of 500 kilometers on a full charge. According to the report, the Harrier EV will offer features similar to the diesel powertrain model. Additionally, its design is also similar to the current model.
This SUV is likely to feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, dual-zone automatic AC, a 6-way power driver seat, wireless phone charging, and a panoramic sunroof.
Currently, the ex-showroom price of the Tata Harrier SUV available for purchase in the domestic market ranges from ₹15.49 lakh to ₹26.44 lakh. It is available in Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless variants.
Along with the Harrier electric SUV, the company showcased cars like the Curvv Coupe, Altroz Racer, Nexon iCNG, and Safari Dark Edition at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Now, the company has confirmed the launch date of the Harrier EV.
Following this, there is a lot of buzz about the new Harrier electric car in the EV market. According to auto experts, the Harrier EV will significantly impact upcoming cars like the Maruti EVX and Toyota Urban Sport, as well as electric cars from Mahindra, Hyundai, and Honda.
