The Mahindra XUV 300 is coming in an electric version

The demand for electric cars in the Indian automobile market is increasing day by day. Except for Maruti, all major players have entered this segment. However, among all the auto companies, Tata Motors holds a distinct dominance. The company offers several cars in both the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and electric segments. Soon, another car will be added to Tata's EV lineup.

Yes, after the Tata Curvv EV, the company is set to bring another electric vehicle. Recently, the electric version of the Mahindra XUV 300 was spotted during testing. The petrol version of the Mahindra XUV 300 is already creating a buzz in the market.

With the new Mahindra XUV 300 electric car being tested, customer expectations have significantly increased. In the pictures that went viral during testing, the car's design appears slightly altered compared to the current XUV 300.

Mahindra XUV 300 EV

The new electric car features the same headlamp setup and LED daytime running lamps as the petrol/diesel XUV 300. In addition, it will come with a newly designed grille, attractive badging, and an updated bumper.

The new XUV 300 will be 200 mm shorter in length than Mahindra's first electric car, the XUV 400, and it will also have a smaller boot space. However, it might come with alloy wheels. Overall, its design is expected to be quite attractive.

Battery and Range

The Mahindra XUV 400 EV comes with 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh battery packs, providing a range (mileage) of 375 to 456 kilometers on a full charge. However, the XUV 300 EV might use the 34.5 kWh battery pack.

This battery pack will provide a range of approximately 375 kilometers on a full charge. The Mahindra XUV 300 EV will offer options for both AC and DC fast charging. It will be slightly cheaper than the XUV 400 EV. In the Indian market, it will compete with the Tata Nexon EV.

Speaking of the ICE version of the Mahindra XUV 300, its price in the domestic market ranges from ₹7.49 lakh to ₹15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It offers options for a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, a 1.2-liter TGDI turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine.

It offers a mileage of 17.96 to 21.2 km per liter. Five people can comfortably travel long distances in this car. It features a 10.25-inch dual display, dual-zone AC, wireless phone charger, sunroof, and cruise control.
