The upcoming electric car Hyundai Creta EV could be launched in early 2025. It has been seen several times during testing. Recently, it was spotted testing in Delhi. The pictures of it were taken by automobile enthusiast Sitanshu. This time during testing, a different type of camouflage was seen on the cars compared to the previously seen Creta electric.
This could mean that these cars are possibly almost ready for production now. So, let's delve into this article to find out what special features Hyundai is offering in its Creta electric SUV.
Design
Although the Creta electric car is currently being tested under camouflage, its structure and lights resemble the petrol variant of the Creta to a considerable extent.
This is being done because people already prefer the petrol variant of the Creta. Recently, the petrol variant of the Creta was given a new look, which could also be seen in the electric variant of the Creta.
Features
This car has many special things on the outside. It also features a forward charging port. The lights illuminate one by one when the car is being turned. The front headlights are made of LEDs and are installed one below the other.
The car's design is sturdy and sleek. It is designed to reduce air resistance on the wheels, enabling the car to travel longer distances. There are also LED lights at the rear, which are interconnected. Additionally, there is a sleek spoiler at the back and a brake light mounted on top.
Talking about the exterior design of this car, it features a charging port at the front, sequential turn indicators, horizontally stacked LED lamps in the front, and a sleek bonnet.
Specially designed alloy wheels are fitted on the edges of the car to reduce air resistance and increase the car's range. At the rear, you'll find interconnected LED tail lamps, a sleek spoiler, and a brake light mounted on top.
Range
Official information about the Creta EV has not yet been revealed, but it is believed that it can be driven for approximately 450 kilometers on a single charge.
To increase its range, an advanced regenerative system will be provided. It is expected to have a 45 kWh battery pack, which will power the motor mounted on the front wheels. If it's like the new-generation Kona, this motor could deliver 138bhp of power and 255Nm of torque.
It is said that Hyundai is planning to introduce at least 5 new electric cars in India by 2030. The Creta Electric will mark the beginning of these cars. Its price could range between 23 to 25 lakh rupees.
These cars will be manufactured at Hyundai's Chennai factory, and the battery pack could be sourced from Exide in India. Recently, Hyundai and Kia have decided to collaborate with Exide to produce batteries for electric cars.
