Hyundai Sales
Decline Slightly in July 2025
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) witnessed a slight decline in sales in July 2025. While
the company's exports increased, domestic sales saw a drop. SUVs dominated the
sales record once again. Let’s take a look at last month’s sales performance.
Hyundai’s Sales Dip
Hyundai sold a
total of 60,073 new vehicles in July 2025. This includes 43,973 units
sold in the domestic market and 16,100 units exported. Compared to
July 2024, this represents a 10.28% decline in domestic sales, with 49,013 units sold. However, exports registered a 3.54% growth,
strengthening India’s position as one of the leading car exporters in Asia.
SUVs
contributed 71.8% to Hyundai’s domestic sales, the highest in the
company’s history.
Creta Continues Its Reign
The Hyundai Creta maintained its dominance in the mid-size SUV segment. Since its
launch in 2015, it has sold over 1.2 million units. In July 2025,
Creta played a leading role in the company’s sales, maintaining its position as
India’s most popular SUV.
During the January–July
2025 period, Creta further strengthened its position in the SUV segment.
Hyundai’s Chief Operating Officer Tarun Garg said that as the company
celebrates 10 years of the Creta, they are proud of how it continues to set new
standards in comfort, convenience, and performance.
High Hopes from the Festive Season
Despite some
slowdown in the automotive industry, Hyundai remains optimistic about
the upcoming festive season. The company is preparing to strengthen its
supply chain and introduce new products with its upcoming state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility in Talegaon.
Future Plans: Focus on Electric Vehicles
Hyundai’s
strategy is increasingly focused on electric vehicles. The Creta Electric
has already marked its presence in the market. The company aims to enhance
customer experience through innovation, safety, and stability.
