Maruti Grand Vitara: The demand for SUVs in the Indian market is continuously increasing. In the mid-size SUV segment, Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara are dominating. Particularly, Maruti's Vitara is leading in sales due to its excellent mileage.
In April 2024, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara was the second best-selling SUV in the mid-SUV segment in India. Last month, the Hyundai Creta topped the list with 15,447 units sold, while the Grand Vitara secured the second position with 7,651 units sold.
In April 2023, 7,742 units of the Grand Vitara were sold. This figure is slightly lower compared to last month's sales. However, in March 2024, 11,634 units of this SUV were sold. In the market, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Skoda Kushaq.
The Maruti Grand Vitara SUV has a length of 4,345 mm, a width of 1,795 mm, and a height of 1,645 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. The price of the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara ranges from ₹10.80 lakh to ₹20.09 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant.
The new Maruti Grand Vitara features an attractive updated design. It is available in several innovative colors, including Nexa Blue, Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey, and Splendid Silver. It comfortably accommodates five passengers.
Excellent Safety Features: This car comes with 6 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), a 360-degree camera, and Hill Descent Control among other latest features to ensure passenger safety.
Maruti Grand Vitara Powertrain: The new car is available with both hybrid (electric + petrol) and CNG powertrains. It features a 1.5-liter mild hybrid and a 1.5-liter strong hybrid engine. Both engines are capable of producing a maximum power of 103 PS and 137 PS, respectively.
The CNG variant, on the other hand, is equipped with a 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol powertrain, which generates a maximum power of 93 PS and a peak torque of 122 Nm. The Grand Vitara is available with a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and E-CVT gearbox.
As for mileage, the petrol variant offers a mileage of 19.38 - 27.97 kilometers per liter, while the CNG model provides a mileage of 26.6 kilometers per kilogram. In the upcoming days, there is also the possibility of the Grand Vitara being available in a 7-seater option.
Maruti Grand Vitara Features: The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV comes with various features including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital driver display, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, head-up display, and other amenities.
Maruti Suzuki is also planning to update the Grand Vitara with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. According to reports, Maruti Suzuki will soon integrate ADAS into the Grand Vitara SUV.
